ELK GROVE HEAT TRAVEL SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Elk Grove Heat Travel Softball Association is to create  a competitive environment for our players .We will accomplish that by selecting  coaches and players who demonstrate the ability to be  the best through  a solid work ethic and strength of character.

The Kelly Mrowinski Memorial Fund

The Kelly Mrowinski Memorial Fund was established by her parents, Liz and Bob Mrowinski in honor of their daughter Kelly,  Kelly died in a drowning accident in Hawaii in 2018 while working there as a traveling nurse.  She played with the Heat with Peg Olsen and Ron Waite in the early 2000's.  She was well known for being a great player but most importantly for being a great teammate full of love and laughter.

Part of this fund has graciously been donated to the Elk Grove Heat.  The Mrowinskis remember softball as being such a wonderful time for them and most importantly, Kelly.  It is their wish that no player ever not have the ability to play travel ball due to unforeseen financial constraints and this fund is dedicated to helping those individuals. Thank you to the Mrowinskis  for choosing this way to honor and remember their amazing daughter.

The Way the Game Should be played....

This is an excerpt written to Ryan Olsen (16U Black Manager) from a competitor.

"Hi Ryan,

Just wanted to share that your organization should be very proud of it's path.  EG-Red is obviously extremely talented, no denying that from anyone that has a clue about the game.  What makes them different is the way they conduct themselves.  We've seen them twice, got trucked both times, which is cool, they're just much better than we are.  They exude the lead from their coaches, whom obviously have trained then exceptionally well.  Kevin' s team, coach and parents are exactly what every team should aspire to be in the sport.  I've had the pleasure of playing your team a few times over the years, and you are no different.  Its absolutely outstanding that your teams are an exemplary role model to anyone looking to do the right in youth athletics."
